Principal's Message

Pioneer Families,

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about the wonderful faculty, staff, and students that make Daniel Boone Elementary so special.  We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with our young Pioneers every day and watch them grow and develop into lifelong learners.

I am beyond honored to be the new principal of Daniel Boone Elementary.  This is my 13th year in education and all 13 of them have been dedicated to working with the students of Madison County.  I spent 10 years as a 5th grade classroom teacher at Kirksville Elementary. In the last two years, I have worked with all the elementary and middle schools in our county as a district academic coach.  

At Daniel Boone Elementary, we want to foster a love of learning that will last beyond our school walls.  Our school mission at Daniel Boone Elementary is to equip students for lifelong learning through intentional instruction in academics, accountability, and attitude.  We strive to partner with our Pioneer families and community to make sure that we are challenging our students academically, celebrating their growth, and providing a safe and welcoming learning environment.  

Pioneer pride is STRONG and we encourage you to be a part of our school and stay connected with us.  As your principal, it is my goal to foster an environment where everyone is PROUD TO BE A PIONEER!  If there is a way that we can support you, please contact the school.  Together we can achieve student success academically, socially, physically, and emotionally.  We are cultivating students in our building that will pioneer our future!!
